Artillery Elephant

It was under the rule of Akbar, the third ruler of the Mughul Empire in the late 16th century, that gun technology reached a level that allowed small cannons tp be produced, small enough to be mounted on a platform on an elephant's back.
The unstable nature of the firing platform made these weapons more of a terror weapon than an effective artillery arm, with simply the sight and noise putting panic in the enemy.
